The following outlines our standard customer terms and conditions of sale and customer use of products, solutions and services supplied by BTMEC. We act and work according to these terms and conditions in dealing with our customers, vendors, suppliers, partners, and website visitors.
By using our website, our services and/or buying products from BTMEC, you hereby consent to agree to and accept our Privacy Policy and our Terms and Conditions.
1. In our terms and conditions, BTMEC is referred to as "BTMEC Pty. Ltd.".
2. All product related data, technical specifications and information are owned and prepared by relevant product manufacturers and vendors. BTMEC (as a reseller of IT products, solutions and services) only presents this information on our websites for the convenience of our customers. We obtain product information and technical specifications from manufacturers and sometimes there can be human/typographical errors and mistakes. Therefore, BTMEC does not take any responsibility for this content. You can always go to product manufacturers' websites to obtain further information. However, we try our best and take extra care to deliver the most relevant and accurate content and information on our website.
3. Pricing and description of the goods are valid until the Quote Expiry Date specified in the quote header.
4. The availability of products is current at the time of quoting. BTMEC accepts no responsibility or liability for products withdrawn from sale by an of our vendors/suppliers.
5. You are responsible for ensuring that the products ordered are suitable for their intended use by you. BTMEC is not liable to you for any product you order which is unsuitable for your intended use.
6. Pricing changed by the Vendor to the RRP will render the Quote null and void.
7. Pricing changed by the Vendor to the Deal/Agreement/Bid referenced in the Quote will render pricing quoted null and void.
8. BTMEC reserves the right to change prices and re-issue quotes without any notice to customers as a result of changes in foreign exchange rates and/or prices changes by the vendor/supplier.
9. Stock on hand levels are correct at time of quoting. These are subject to change without notice. All quotes do not represent any form of stock reservation.
10. Product availability and pricing may be subject to specific vendor certifications or partner program memberships.
11. Vendors product certifications and program memberships are the responsibility of the customer as the customer is the user of these products and solutions. BTMEC Pty. Ltd. accepts no responsibility for these certifications, memberships and/or subscriptions.
12. When sending us a purchase order or an agreement to purchase, customers must include the quote number, complete end user information, i.e., company name, street address, phone number, contact name and e-mail address, who to send the invoice to for billing and where the delivery is required. Please clearly state the part number, product code, SKU number, item description, quantity of the part required, and pricing as per the quote and must be included on your purchase order.
13. All prices we quote are in Australian Dollar Currency (AUD) and are exclusive of GST. Prices do not include any configuration, warehousing, or freight charges unless explicitly stated. Freight rates are based on standard delivery by road. Additional charges will apply for air freight or any other method of special deliveries.
14. For selected imported products, import taxes and/or customs duties are the responsibility of the customer.
15. Consumption based products are stated as an estimate only. Actual charges will be billed in line with metered usage.
16. Once a confirmed purchase order (PO) and/or a written agreement to purchase goods and services from BTMEC has been received from the customer, the PO or the purchase agreement cannot be cancelled. Any cancellations or changes to the purchase order or agreement will require written consent from an authorised BTMEC representative. To consider cancelling an order by a BTMEC representative, it must be exercised within 24 hours from the time of order received.
17. Licensing cancellations are subject to Vendors Return Policy and/or our Terms and Conditions of Sale.
18. If customers have signed up for any vendors' software subscriptions and licenses (i.e., Adobe or Microsoft subscriptions), they must pay the full amount as per their agreement and commitment for the period of software license subscriptions (i.e., monthly, quarterly, half yearly, annually or 3 years terms).
19. Any items quoted by BTMEC are considered as correct and current at the time of issuing quotations. All errors and omissions are excepted with no further discounts are applied. BTMEC is not responsible for compensating customers if the item(s) included in our quotes are withdrawn by the vendors or suppliers.
20. You (as a buyer) have agreed to use our and/or vendors’ products for normal home and/or business use within Australia and not resell outside Australia. BTMEC is not responsible or liable for your usage of the products you have bought from us. After you have bought the products and services from BTMEC, you take full responsibility and ownership of these products and services, and you are liable for any harm or damage to the product or cause any harm to anyone else personally, intentionally or unintentionally.
21. BTMEC receives purchase orders and written agreements of purchase from customers based on the the availability of products and services from our vendors and suppliers. You (as a buyer) acknowledge that all orders are subject to acceptance by BTMEC. BTMEC may reject orders if there is an insufficient quantity or supply of products by the supplier/vendor to fulfill customer orders.
22. All customers must pay in full in advance for their purchases before any products or services are delivered by BTMEC, unless customers have agreed credit terms with BTMEC. BTMEC reserves the right to cancel orders and not deliver products and services if the full payment has not been made in advance by the customer.
23. All standard warranties of sale are applicable as stated by each vendor and/or manufacturer. BTMEC is not responsible or liable for any products delivered by BTMEC being faulty or not working for the customer. In the case of customer complaints and/or product warranty claims, it is the responsibility of the customer to contact and make claims directly from the product vendor/manufacturer.
24. Before placing your confirmed purchase order (PO) or a written agreement to purchase goods and services from BTMEC, you (as a buyer) have read, understood, agreed, and accepted BTMEC’s standard terms and conditions of sale. You (as a buyer) understand that BTMEC Pty. Ltd. is a reseller of the product, solution and/or service that you are buying and BTMEC acts as a conduit between you and the product supplier. You (as a buyer) have consented not to hold BTMEC Pty. Ltd. liable or responsible for any faulty or damaged products, or the products not working for you as a result of the purchase, or BTMEC is not able to deliver products within a specific time and/or due to force majeure events such as strikes, lock outs, products shortage, breakdown, transportation issues, natural disasters or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of BTMEC. BTMEC will not be liable or responsible for any delay in performing or failure to fulfil its obligations due to any unforeseen reasons or force majeure events.
Delivery Terms:
BTMEC delivers ordered goods throughout Australia in all states. The following are our standard terms of delivery:
- Normal delivery time can take between seven (7) to ten (10) business days or more depending on the availability of goods from the supplier/manufacturer. We can advise an estimated time and date of delivery if requested by customers. Standard freight costs will apply for orders to be delivered on an urgent basis or overnight. It is the customer’s responsibility to request for a quote to determine the exact freight costs. We will apply our standard freight (delivery) rates as per our standard delivery methods.
- In normal situations, once you have placed your order, we will advise you of the delivery of your goods as per our standard delivery terms and shipping methods.
- Our standard delivery fee (provided in the quote) will apply to all goods delivered to your doorsteps within the metro zones of capital cities of each state of Australia. For areas that are outside the metro zones (in all states of Australia) or standard delivery zones then the delivery fee can change depending on the delivery location as advised by our delivery agents/freight companies. We will include these delivery charges (freight costs) on the quotes and invoices as additional items, separate to main ordered items. Please request a quote to determine exact delivery charges and freight costs.
- It is the responsibility of the customer to inspect all goods upon delivery to ensure all product items are in good condition (excluding software products). In case of any damage or missing items, you must notify BTMEC Sales in writing as soon as possible or within 7 days of delivery. Failing to notify BTMEC Sales within this period, the products will be considered to have been accepted by the customer.
- BTMEC is not responsible or liable for any loss or damage to the products that are delivered directly from our suppliers/vendors to the customer. It is the responsibility of the customer to arrange any insurance (if required by the customer).
Returns Policy:
- It is the responsibility of the customer to inform BTMEC Sales if a product is faulty, damaged, or not delivered as per the order within the 7 (seven) days of the delivery.
- All return requests must be in writing and are subject to our returns policy, terms and conditions of sale and approval by BTMEC Sales as well as related supplier/vendor and/or the manufacturer.
- You (as a buyer) must contact BTMEC Sales in writing to allow BTMEC Sales to evaluate your return request before any products are returned. All products must be returned in complete and within original packaging.
- Some products, as stated by the supplier/vendor/manufacturer, will not be returned if the original box has been opened or original packaging been removed.
- Preconfigured and/or custom ordered products cannot be returned.
- When returning products, it is your responsibility to provide your account number, invoice number, product/item code number, date of purchase, quantity of the products, serial numbers and provide all photos as requested by BTMEC Sales in order for us to evaluate your return request. BTMEC Sales team member will then advise of the outcome of your return request and will make the decision accordingly.
- All return requests must be received in formal, in writing and must be approved by BTMEC Sales before products are returned by the customer.
- When a return request has been approved, BTMEC Sales team member will advise where to return the product.
- All charges and freight costs must be paid by the customer for the products being returned.
- BTMEC Pty. Ltd. can only pass the refunds to customers for the product returns if these refunds are approved and sent by the vendor/manufacturer and/or the supplier. BTMEC Pty. Ltd. cannot be held responsible or liable for any return requests that are rejected by the vendor/manufacturer and/or the supplier for any reasons.
- All return requests are managed on a case-by-case basis and in accordance with the supplier/vendor/manufacturer return policy and guidelines. BTMEC Sales will ensure to pass on these guidelines to the customer as per the directions received by the supplier/vendor/manufacturer.
Privacy, Confidentiality and Cookies Policy:
At BTMEC, we value and respect the privacy of our customers, suppliers, website visitors, and partners.
- We maintain and handle the privacy of data and information collected or processed from our website, or through emails, or personally, or in writing as per our privacy policy by strictly following current industry standards and Australian privacy laws and regulations.

- Customer acknowledges and agrees that all intellectual property, logos, registered trademarks, sales/marketing material and graphical images are protected by copyright and belong to their respective owners and makers. Images, graphics, logos, trademarks, and technical specifications shown on our website for the products we resell are for the guidance of our customers and website visitors and these images, graphics, logos, trademarks, and technical specifications belong to product manufacturers and owners. Therefore, all rights are reserved. BTMEC does not take any responsibility for the accuracy of these images, graphics, logos, trademarks, marketing material, and technical specifications. It is the responsibility of our customers and our website visitors to go to product manufacturers’ websites to obtain specific information about the products.
- Customer acknowledges and agrees that BTMEC may disclose your confidential and personal information with suppliers, vendors, manufacturers, and legal bodies (as required by the law or if necessary) to perform its business and work within legal boundaries for the sole purpose for which the information is shared.
- We collect user details to register users on our website in order to provide them with specific products and services more efficiently. You can choose not to register. Please be assured that all information and data processed from our website is encrypted and secure with the best Internet security standards. We use SSL 256-bit encryption to ensure security.
- We do not collect unnecessary information, ask for any credit card, or bank information. We try our best to use secure methods of payment for the goods and services we deliver to our customers.
- We make every effort to ensure all information is adequately handled, managed, and protected properly to ensure maximum privacy and confidentiality of our customers and website visitors. We do not disclose any data or information with any third parties. We may only share certain information with banks and appropriate authorities where necessary and as required by the law.

Therefore, we are not responsible for any typographical mistakes and errors. We have the full right to change these terms and conditions at any time and without any notice. - We use email and SMS messaging services to send notifications and information to keep our customers informed with goods delivery information, status of orders, delivery notifications, and information about current IT products, solutions, and services.
